The territory of the municipality of San Pietro in Lama, which occupies an area of ​​7.93 km² in the middle area of ​​the Salento peninsula, is characterized by a flat morphology; it is between 33 and 50 meters above sea level. It is located in the Valle della Cupa, or rather in that portion of the plain, around the Lecce capital, characterized by a vast area of ​​natural depression in the land.
